Cats are known as an animal of Luna and embody mysterious, independent spirits. Recently, my cat Theo became very sick and we weren't sure if he would make it home. Luckily, he is okay now, but I honestly could not fathom what it would be like without him. When you are a guardian/parent of an animal they become apart of your soul. Or maybe they always have been.
In ancient Rome, the cat was sacred to Diana the Moon Goddess, and they were considered guardians of the home. Having a cat would ensure domestic goodness. I can resonate with this because since bringing our two kitties into our lives, our home has become more vibrant and full of love. In ancient Egypt cats were worshiped as gods and even mummified with mice for them to eat. The Lunar Goddess Bast, was depicted with a cat head.
