MY ECLECTIC BOHO ENTRYWAY
I have never been crazy about formal entryways. Although the way my house is set up, I'm not even entirely sure you would call this an entryway, except for the fact that it is where you enter my house! For me this area is my yoga space, my dance space, the space where my baby plays on her playmat, and where I play my music. I was so excited when this beautiful bohemian rug from Ecarpetgallery fit in this space like a glove. I feel like a rug can just make a space come alive, and this one definitely does with it's rich peach color and blue accents. Very soon the brown couch you see here in these photos will be replaced with a teal couch and I can't wait to see how all the colors come together.
This space is mixed with a lot of vintage pieces which makes it feel unique and eclectic. The green velvet chair, the white peacock chair, the huge macrame owl hanging, the blue wall hanging and the antique radio to name a few. The incredible cubby wall shelf my dad made and was hanging in our house growing up. It is one of the most special things in my entire home. I really want to paint it, or actually strip it of its paint down to the natural wood, but I know it's going to be a HUGE job that I'm not quite ready to take on. It is where I keep all of my special pieces of nature, skulls, crystals, etc. I think I will do a separate post just on this shelf one day b/c there are way too many curiosities to highlight here.
